Genshin Impact's Version 5.3 has brought exciting additions to the game with the introduction of two new characters, Mavuika and Citlali, featured on a double banner. Additionally, players can look forward to the arrival of a new four-star character, Lan Yan, during the Lantern Rite Festival in the second part of the update. HoYoverse continues to keep the game fresh with its rigorous update schedule, introducing new storylines, playable units, and regions.
During the most recent Special Program event, HoYoverse unveiled silhouettes of upcoming characters, sparking curiosity among the player base. Although the presenters hinted that more information about these characters would be revealed over the next six months, they did not confirm simultaneous releases. Fortunately, a reliable Genshin Impact leaker, DK2, has shed light on the release order of these characters. According to DK2, the characters will be introduced in updates 5.7, 5.4, 5.5, and 5.6, respectively, and all will be of five-star rarity.
Genshin Impact Leak Reveals Upcoming Five-star Releases
The second character from the left in the silhouette image is set to join the roster in Genshin Impact Version 5.4. This character matches the design of Mizuki, who is currently in the 5.4 beta phase. Given the absence of any other new five-star character information in the current beta, it is highly likely that Mizuki will be the sole new five-star addition in this update.
Mizuki, a five-star Anemo catalyst user from Inazuma, could signal a return to the beloved Electro nation in the main storyline. This aligns with HoYoverse's pattern of revisiting previously released regions four to five updates after introducing a new nation. Leaks suggest that Mizuki will serve as a support character, with her abilities centered around maximizing Elemental Mastery. Beta gameplay footage indicates that she has good synergy with the recently released Pyro Archon, Mavuika.
Assuming Mizuki will be featured in the first banner phase of Version 5.4, players can anticipate her release around mid-February.
