Bethesda to Unveil Oblivion Remake Tomorrow

by Sebastian May 03,2025

After months of anticipation fueled by rumors and leaks, Bethesda is poised to officially unveil the much-talked-about remake of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The announcement is scheduled for tomorrow at 11:00 am EST, and fans can tune in via Bethesda's official channels on YouTube and Twitch.

The announcement was teased today via a post on X (formerly Twitter) from the official Bethesda account. While the specifics of the reveal were kept under wraps, the prominent "IV" and a background reminiscent of iconic Oblivion artwork strongly suggest what's coming.

Speculation about an Oblivion remake has been rampant for years, but recent developments have ramped up the excitement. A leaked 2020 Bethesda release schedule, disclosed during the FTC vs. Microsoft trial in 2023, hinted at an Oblivion remaster planned for fiscal year 2022. Although the timeline had passed, suggesting a possible cancellation, a January leak this year indicated that the project had evolved into a comprehensive remake, developed in collaboration with support studio Virtuos. The final piece of the puzzle came just last week when further leaks from Virtuos' website showcased images of the remake in progress, lending strong credibility to these reports.

According to these leaks, The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered is set to launch on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation platforms. A Deluxe Edition is also rumored, which will include the infamous horse armor alongside the standard version.

Be sure to tune in tomorrow for what promises to be an exciting confirmation and further details on this long-awaited project.
