Weekly Challenges Introduced in The Battle of Polytopia

The Battle of Polytopia has spiced up its gameplay with the introduction of Weekly Challenges, offering players a new way to showcase their strategic prowess in this beloved 4X strategy game. Dive in to learn all about this exciting update.

From Randomness to Structured Competition

Previously, the game thrived on its unpredictability, with a mix of enemies, resources, and maps keeping players on their toes. However, with the latest free update, The Battle of Polytopia introduces a more structured form of competition.

Each week, players are presented with the same map, tribe, and gameplay conditions, leveling the playing field. The challenge? Achieve the highest score possible within just 20 turns. You're allowed one attempt per day, capping at seven tries throughout the week.

A unique aspect of the Weekly Challenges is the opportunity to play with tribes you may not yet own. The game boasts a total of 16 tribes—four included in the base game and twelve more available for purchase at $1-4 each. But here's the twist: in Weekly Challenges, everyone competes with the same tribe, regardless of ownership.

Will Weekly Challenges Make The Battle of Polytopia More Exciting?

Absolutely, and here's why. The new mode also introduces a League system, starting everyone in the Entry League. Your performance each week determines whether you move up, stay put, or drop down. The top third of players advance, the bottom third move down, and the middle group remains in their current league.

As you progress through the leagues, the difficulty ramps up. Starting with Easy AI in the Entry League, you'll face off against Crazy difficulty bots by the time you reach the Gold League. Missing a week won't result in demotion, but your ranking will shift based on other players' performances.
