Ubisoft Leaks: Rainbow Six Siege 2 with Enhanced Graphics in Development

An insider known as fraxiswinning has claimed that Ubisoft will officially announce *Rainbow Six Siege 2* during the Six Invitational 2025, which is scheduled to take place at the MGM Music Hall from February 14–16. According to his report, the game is being developed under the codename [ttpp] and is built on an updated engine that brings enhanced graphics, including redesigned textures and models for a more immersive experience.

Furthermore, it's suggested that classic temporary events from the original title may not return, with Ubisoft reportedly focusing on introducing fresh content and new event formats instead. If this leak holds true, the sequel could launch in mid-2025—aligning with the second season of Year 10 support for the franchise.

This news would appear to contradict earlier statements by Rainbow Six Siege creative director Alexander Karpazis, who previously stated that a full sequel wasn't necessary due to the continued evolution of the existing game. However, if these rumors are accurate, it’s possible Ubisoft has shifted its strategy to deliver a next-gen experience.

As always, leaks and insider information should be approached with caution until officially confirmed by Ubisoft. Until then, all details remain speculative.

Six Invitational 2025: What to Expect

The Rainbow Six Siege World Championship, known as the Six Invitational 2025, is fast approaching. Set to take place in Boston, the tournament will feature twenty elite teams competing for a massive $3,000,000 prize pool and the coveted championship title. Oxygen Esports secured the final spot after winning the North American Last Chance Qualifier, completing the roster of competitors.

While having twenty teams in the competition is relatively rare, Ubisoft may follow a format similar to last year’s structure: four groups of five teams each playing round-robin matches, followed by Double Elimination playoffs. In this system, first-place finishers receive a bye in the first playoff round, fourth-place teams begin in the lower bracket, and the remaining squads start in the upper bracket. The last-placed team in each group is eliminated from the tournament.

That said, with the potential announcement of a sequel looming, we might witness a completely revamped competitive format. Fans around the world will be watching closely—not only for thrilling gameplay but also for any hints about the future of the franchise.
