DC Studios has unveiled an exciting new trailer for the upcoming Superman movie, directed by James Gunn, set to hit theaters on July 11, 2025. The trailer, spanning three minutes, offers a deeper glimpse into the film's extensive ensemble of superheroes and supervillains.
In the trailer, we see Nathan Fillion in action as Guy Gardner / Green Lantern, effortlessly batting away enemies. Isabela Merced portrays Hawkgirl, and we get our best look yet at María Gabriela de Faría as The Engineer. It's revealed that The Engineer is responsible for destroying the robots, including Kelex, that care for Superman in the Fortress of Solitude. A previous trailer showed a distraught Superman cradling Kelex after a battle.
Krypto the Superdog makes an appearance, bravely engaging The Engineer with a flying punch, demonstrating his readiness to fight alongside Superman. The trailer also showcases Lex Luthor, played by Nicholas Hoult, and Ultraman in action. We see more of Edi Gathegi's Mister Terrific and Anthony Carrigan's Rex Mason / Metamorpho. The Hammer of Boravia, a new character introduced by Gunn and hinted at in a previous teaser, appears as expected. Speculation suggests that the Hammer of Boravia might actually be Ultraman in disguise.

The relationship between Clark Kent and Lois Lane takes center stage, with Lois interviewing Clark in his Superman persona. The interview escalates into an argument over the ethics of Superman's controversial intervention in a foreign war, where he claims, "I wasn’t representing anyone except for me... and doing good!" In response to Superman's actions, the Hammer of Boravia launches an attack on Downtown Metropolis.
Another scene from the battle with the Hammer of Boravia shows a member of the public helping Superman out of a hole in the ground. This moment of public support contrasts sharply with other scenes where the public is shown screaming at Superman and even throwing objects at him, highlighting the complex relationship between the superhero and the citizens he protects.
