Silksong Developer Reaffirms Release For Switch 1
Initially announced in 2019 for PC and the original Nintendo Switch, Silksong later expanded to include PlayStation and Xbox console releases. The confusion arose when the game was showcased during the Switch 2's Direct, leading fans to worry about its availability on the existing Switch. However, Matthew Griffin, Team Cherry's Marketing and PR Handler, took to Twitter (X) on April 8 to clarify that Silksong will indeed be available on both Switch and Switch 2. While details on the differences between these versions remain under wraps, it's expected that the Switch 2 version will leverage the new console's enhanced capabilities for a higher resolution experience.
New Silksong Images Revealed
Following the Switch 2 Direct, Nintendo Japan's official website unveiled new images of Silksong. Although the settings in these images are familiar to long-time followers, there's a noticeable improvement in graphics compared to the 2019 reveal. Despite the developers' usual silence, the game's appearance and these new visuals hint at an impending release date announcement. Recent updates to Silksong's Steam Metadata have also fueled speculation that a release might be on the horizon for this year.
