Project NET First Announced in December 2024
Sunborn Network, the masterminds behind the successful mobile game Girls’ Frontline, announced the development of Project NET, a new third-person shooter for mobile devices, on December 27, 2024. The game's initial localized test ran from January 9, 2025, to January 16, 2025, targeting SEA countries including Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
The Girls’ Frontline franchise, which first hit mobile devices in 2016 as a strategy RPG gacha game, quickly gained a massive following and expanded into an anime series and other titles. Its sequel, Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium, launched on December 5, 2024. As Project NET is rooted in the same universe, fans can look forward to seeing familiar characters and design elements.
While an official release date for Project NET remains under wraps, the game is set to launch on both iOS and Android platforms, based on the devices used in its initial tests.
