Why are White Stellar Amulets so Valuable in Path of Exile 2?
The secret lies in their transformation potential. Normal (white) Stellar Amulets, with their inherent "+# to All Attributes" implicit modifier, are key ingredients in crafting the 
Astramentis Stellar Amulet, a top-tier Unique Amulet. This transformation is achieved using an 
Orb of Chance.
Astramentis' exceptional power stems from its massive attribute boost (+80-120 to All Attributes), synergizing perfectly with items like the 
Hand of Wisdom and Action Furtive Wraps (another highly valuable Unique). These items amplify attack speed and lightning damage based on Intelligence and Dexterity.
Crucially, only white Stellar Amulets can yield Astramentis. Magic (blue) or Rare (yellow) amulets won't work, making normal Stellar Amulets exceptionally valuable.
Sell or Gamble? The White Stellar Amulet Dilemma
The odds of successfully crafting Astramentis with an Orb of Chance are extremely low. Even using numerous amulets (100 or more) doesn't guarantee success. While luck plays a role, the chances are slim.
The choice is yours: sell your White Stellar Amulets for a guaranteed 10-30 Exalted Orbs (depending on market fluctuations), or take a high-risk, high-reward gamble for Astramentis. It's a personal decision weighing guaranteed profit against the potential for a massive payoff.
Using the Orb of Chance for Astramentis in PoE 2
The process is straightforward: place the White Stellar Amulet in your inventory, right-click the Orb of Chance, and left-click the amulet. Potential outcomes include:
- Amulet destruction.
- Upgrade to a unique sharing the same base. Two possibilities exist:
- Astramentis (highly desirable)
Fixation of Yix (less desirable, more common)
Amulet destruction is the most likely outcome if the gamble fails.
