FDG Entertainment and Cornfox & Bros. have unveiled their latest addition to the Oceanhorn series, titled Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon. Set 200 years after the events of Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm, this new installment promises a fresh take on the beloved franchise. Scheduled for release in Q2 2025, it will be available on Android, iOS, and PC via Steam.
What’s the Story in the New Game Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon?
In a departure from the series' traditional sea-faring adventures, Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon immerses players in the perilous depths of an underground labyrinth. This dungeon crawler offers a nostalgic retro vibe as you explore its mysteries.
The setting is the world of Gaia, now a shadow of its former self. The once-mighty Kingdom of Arcadia has fragmented into scattered islands, and the legendary White City has become a mere memory. Against this backdrop, four determined adventurers embark on a quest to explore the Chronos Dungeon, a mysterious underground complex rumored to house the Paradigm Hourglass—an artifact capable of altering history itself. Their goal is to restore the world to its former glory, provided they can survive the dangers within.

What About the Features?
Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon embraces a classic dungeon crawler format with a distinct 16-bit arcade feel. Designed for couch co-op, the game supports up to four players teaming up for cooperative gameplay. If you're short on teammates, you can control all four heroes solo or switch between them as needed, facing various in-game challenges.
Each playthrough is unique as the heroes' stats vary with their zodiac signs. The four playable characters include the Knight, Huntress, Grandmaster, and Mage. The game's aesthetics are enhanced by nostalgic 16-bit pixel art and a chiptune-inspired soundtrack, capturing the essence of old-school arcade gaming.
