The latest season of Marvel Snap has arrived, bringing with it a thrilling focus on legacy. This season introduces Sam Wilson as the new Captain America, complete with innovative mechanics that promise to transform your gameplay experience. Alongside Sam, characters such as Diamondback and Thaddeus Ross join the fray, offering new strategic depths to explore throughout the month.
Sam Wilson's transition from Falcon to Captain America is highlighted in this season's pass. His card introduces a unique ability where Cap's Shield appears at the start of each match at a random location. This Shield can be maneuvered across the board, and while indestructible, it enhances Sam's power by +2 whenever it's in his location, adding a new layer of tactical play.
Throughout February, the character roster will expand with fresh additions. Joaquín Torres will be available starting February 4th, followed by Iron Patriot and Thaddeus Ross on February 11th. Redwing makes his entrance on the 18th, and Diamondback rounds off the month on February 25th. These Series 5 cards will be accessible through the Token Shop and Spotlight Cache, offering various opportunities for players to add them to their collections.
In addition to new characters, two new locations are set to join Marvel Snap. The Smithsonian Museum will enhance Ongoing abilities by granting an additional +1 Power per card, while Madripoor will increase the power of the highest-cost cards at its location by +2 Power after each turn. These new locations invite players to experiment with different deck compositions to leverage the strategic advantages they offer this season.
