Jack Quaid Eyes Bioshock Role, Fans See Max Payne in Novocaine

If you're a fan of The Boys, you might already know Jack Quaid as one of its stars. Recently, he shared his enthusiasm for appearing in a BioShock movie, calling it one of his favorite games of all time. During a Reddit AMA promoting his new movie, Novocaine, Quaid expressed his excitement about the game's rich lore potentially being adapted for the big screen or TV.

"I would actually love to be in a live-action adaptation of BioShock—one of my favorite games of all time," Quaid said. "I think there's such a rich lore to that game that could be explored in a TV or movie adaptation."

While details about the upcoming BioShock movie remain scarce, producer Roy Lee mentioned last year that budget constraints at Netflix led to significant changes in the project. Instead of a grand production, the new version will focus on a more personal narrative. Despite these shifts, Hunger Games director Francis Lawrence remains attached to helm the project.

Interestingly, Quaid's resemblance to Max Payne has sparked curiosity among fans, though he admitted he hasn’t played the game yet. He also confessed his love for FromSoftware titles like Bloodborne and Elden Ring, which he credits for keeping him hooked with their challenging gameplay.

For those curious about where Netflix's BioShock movie might take place, opinions vary between Rapture, Columbia, or even somewhere entirely new. Only time will tell which direction the filmmakers decide to go.
