What Recharge Drones Do
In R.E.P.O., the Service Station offers a variety of items, some of which are disposable, like Mines and Grenades. Others, however, possess a "battery life" and can be restored using Energy Crystals. At the start of your journey, you'll spot a container-like object in your truck, essential for charging your weapons or drones, though it requires an Energy Crystal for each recharge.

Purchased Energy Crystals are automatically added to this container, so there's no need to fret when they vanish after buying them. To recharge a device, simply place it in the yellow bucket adjacent to the container, where it will regain its vitality. This method is invaluable for maintaining your gear in prime condition, readying you to confront the horrors of the next level and the myriad monsters lurking within.
Yet, some levels are more demanding, causing your equipment to wear down rapidly. While you can use Energy Crystals to recharge items at certain locations, you won't always be near your truck. That’s where the Recharge Drone becomes indispensable, offering a mobile solution to keep your equipment powered up on the go.
How to Get and Use the Recharge Drone in R.E.P.O.
The Recharge Drone, like other items and upgrades, can be found at the Service Station, accessible after successfully completing each level. This is your chance to arm yourself with the tools needed to ease your journey through the next level, provided you have enough in-game currency.
Items at the Service Station appear randomly, so you may need to visit several times before the Recharge Drone becomes available. Once it does, it will cost you between $4,000 to $5,000. This compact cube occupies one of your inventory slots, so you'll need to assign it to slot 1, 2, or 3 upon purchase.

You can monitor your item's condition via the battery bar displayed beneath it. To recharge, select the Recharge Drone, activate it by pressing 'E', and then attach your depleted item. Let the drone work its magic! When the drone's battery depletes, you can rejuvenate it using Energy Crystals in your truck's container.
