Garena's popular mobile battle royale, Free Fire, is set to dazzle fans once again at the Esports World Cup 2025 in Riyadh, with a staggering $1 million prize pool up for grabs. This event marks another chapter in Free Fire's multi-year partnership with the EWC, promising fans another thrilling tournament in 2026.
From July 16th to 20th, 18 of the world's elite Free Fire squads will clash in a high-stakes battle. The competition kicks off with a group stage, dividing the teams into three groups of six. The top twelve teams will advance to the Point-Rush stage, leading into the Grand Final, which will utilize the match point format to determine the ultimate champion. Additionally, a $10,000 MVP bonus awaits the standout individual performer of the tournament.
Last year's champions, Team Falcons, return to defend their title after a remarkable performance in 2024. Despite a challenging start in the Point-Rush stage, they secured victory with two critical Booyahs during the finals, earning them not only the trophy but also a spot in the World Series in Rio.
Qualifiers for EWC 2025 are already in full swing. The FFWS SEA concludes on June 14th, sending eight teams to Riyadh. LATAM will qualify two teams by June 1st, Brazil four by June 22nd, and one team each from Pakistan, the FF MSC, and Bangladesh. As defending champions, Team Falcons have an automatic entry.
