In an April 2024 interview with The Gamer, Final Fantasy director Naoki Yoshida hinted at the need for a new Tactics title. Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier fueled excitement in June 2024, confirming on a Subreddit that a Final Fantasy Tactics remaster was in development.
Schreier later posted cryptic messages on BlueSky on June 4 about FF Tactics. When a user mentioned awaiting a remake, Schreier clarified it would be a “Remaster,” signaling a refreshed version of the classic title.
