The highly anticipated fighting game, Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, has been rated for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, despite no official announcement confirming its release on the new console. While fans eagerly await confirmation, a now-deleted tweet from the Saudi General Authority of Media Regulation, as spotted by the Gaming Leaks and Rumours subreddit, has seemingly confirmed the game's arrival on the Switch 2.
The tweet, which was taken down shortly after being posted, stated, "Experience the fighting action in the latest game Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero. Available on Nintendo Switch 2, featuring 3D battles and storylines that change based on your choices," and confirmed that the game had secured a 12+ rating.
Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero elevates the legendary gameplay of the Budokai Tenkaichi series to new heights, offering an extensive roster of playable characters, each with their unique abilities, transformations, and techniques. In our IGN Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero review, we awarded it a 7/10, noting, "Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero is a final flash from the past, sometimes to a fault, but the feeling of traveling back to a simpler time when games didn’t have to be balanced or competitive to be fun is still a good one."
Pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 went live on April 24, with the console priced at $449.99. The pre-orders were met with overwhelming demand, as expected. On the same day, Nintendo issued a warning to U.S. customers who pre-ordered through the My Nintendo Store, stating that release date delivery was not guaranteed due to the high volume of orders.
