The Last of Us Complete: Collector’s Edition - PS5

Priced at $109.99 and available for pre-order at PlayStation Direct, the Collector’s Edition of The Last of Us Complete is set to launch on July 10. This edition not only includes the digital bundle, which costs $99.99, but also comes with additional collectibles to enhance the experience. These extras include a Steelbook case, game discs, The Last of Us: American Dreams comics 1-4, four lithographic art prints, and a heartfelt thank-you letter from Naughty Dog's Head of Studio, Neil Druckmann.

In a PlayStation.Blog post, Druckmann expressed his gratitude towards the fans, stating, "From our entire studio, thank you so much for your incredible support for The Last of Us and Naughty Dog over the years. This is such an exciting moment for both the franchise and our teams. We are so humbled by your personal stories of what the series has meant to you, have marveled at your incredible Photo Mode shots, and inspired to keep pushing ourselves forward to create more stories and worlds you’ll love."

The Last of Us series originally debuted on the PS3 in 2013 and has since become a cornerstone of the PlayStation library. Despite its numerous re-releases and remasters, which have sparked both criticism and praise, the series continues to captivate players. The journey of Joel and Ellie was enhanced with improved graphics for the PS4 in 2014 and reimagined for the PS5 with a full remake in 2022. The Last of Us Part 2, continuing Ellie's story, was released in 2020 and remastered in early 2024. Both titles have also made their way to PC, with The Last of Us Part 1 arriving in 2023 and The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered just last week.

The Last of Us Complete brings together all of Naughty Dog’s post-apocalyptic offerings in one package, marking yet another re-release. While some may question the need for revisiting Joel and Ellie's world once more, the timing aligns perfectly with the premiere of HBO’s The Last of Us Season 2, set to air its first episode this Sunday. Additionally, Season 3 was greenlit just yesterday, signaling continued interest and expansion of the franchise.

For those eager to dive deeper into the world of The Last of Us, you can explore why fans aren't expecting news on The Last of Us Part 3 anytime soon, and learn how Neil Druckmann and the team behind the show plan to further develop the story in the future.
