Bethesda to Announce Oblivion Remaster Tomorrow

by Zoe Apr 24,2025

After months of swirling rumors and tantalizing leaks, Bethesda is poised to make an official announcement regarding the much-anticipated remaster of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The announcement is scheduled for tomorrow at 11:00 am EST and will be streamed live on both YouTube and Twitch.

In a recent post on Twitter/X, Bethesda teased fans with an image featuring a prominent "IV" and a background reminiscent of iconic Oblivion artwork, strongly hinting at what's to come. The gaming community has been buzzing with speculation about an Oblivion remake for years, fueled by a series of leaks. The first hint came from a 2020 Bethesda release schedule that surfaced during the FTC vs. Microsoft trial in 2023, suggesting an Oblivion remaster was slated for fiscal year 2022. Although the timeline had passed, making it seem like a potentially canceled project, the rumors gained new life in January of this year with leaks indicating a full-blown remake developed by Bethesda in collaboration with Virtuos. The latest leaks, just last week from Virtuos' website, included images of the remake in action, further solidifying the anticipation.

If these recent leaks hold true, The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered is expected to launch on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. Fans can look forward to a Deluxe Edition that includes the iconic horse armor, in addition to the standard version.

Be sure to tune in tomorrow for what promises to be an exciting confirmation and more detailed insights into this long-awaited remaster.
