As previously noted, the leaks appear to confirm the modern setting hinted at by Vince Zampella, setting it apart from other Battlefield titles. A browse through the Battlefield subreddit showcases intense firefights, destructible environments, and new mechanics like clinging to vehicles and rescuing injured teammates from danger.
Surprisingly, EA has taken minimal action to address the leaks.

EA plans to release the next Battlefield game in fiscal year 2026, meaning a launch between April 2025 and March 2026.
