Pokémon GO enthusiasts, get ready for the Sweet Discoveries event, which promises a delightful experience with the debut of Applin. This event is a must-attend for those passionate about collecting new Pokémon or hunting for shinies. Let's dive into the details of this exciting event.
When Is Applin Debuting in Pokémon GO?
The Sweet Discoveries event kicks off on April 24th at 10:00 a.m. and lasts until April 29th at 8:00 p.m. The highlight of the event is the introduction of Applin, a Grass and Dragon-type Pokémon from the Galar region. To evolve Applin into Flapple, you'll need 200 Applin Candies and 20 Tart Apples. Alternatively, for Appletun, you'll require 200 candies and 20 Sweet Apples. Evolving Applin into Dipplin, its final form, leads to Hydrapple.
A key element of the evolution process is the Apples. These items can be found in the wild, and tapping on them might reward you with a Tart Apple, a Sweet Apple, or even Applin itself. Your chances of encountering Apples increase when using Mossy Lure Modules.
Did You Know?
Applin is unique in that it spends its entire life inside an apple, cleverly disguising itself as fruit to evade its natural predators, bird Pokémon. With its adorable appearance, Applin is certainly one of the cutest Pokémon in the game.
During the Sweet Discoveries event, you can snag new avatar items from the shop, including an Applin Headband and an Applin Apron. Additionally, event bonuses include 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
You'll have a higher chance of encountering Shiny Delibird and Shiny Skwovet in the wild. There's also an increased likelihood of hatching Shiny Delibird, Shiny Cherubi, and Shiny Skwovet from 7 km Eggs. Another charming feature of the event involves berries; catching Delibird or Skwovet will reward you with berries.
