- Dark and Darker Mobile rebranded as Abyss of Dungeons
- Minimal changes beyond the new title
- Move reflects Krafton's effort to separate from Ironmace's legal disputes
Krafton has rebranded Dark and Darker Mobile as Abyss of Dungeons to distance itself from Ironmace Studios’ ongoing legal conflicts with Nexon. The change primarily involves the title and possibly some elements tied to the original Dark and Darker branding.
Ironmace Studios, founded by former Nexon employees, faces allegations of misusing trade secrets in developing Dark and Darker. Nexon claims the studio leveraged assets or ideas from their time at the company, sparking a legal battle that remains unresolved.
Speculation about a potential name change for Dark and Darker Mobile surfaced in February, and Krafton has now confirmed Abyss of Dungeons as the new title, aligning with those earlier reports.

Gameplay Unchanged
Fortunately, the rebranding does not affect the core gameplay mechanics. Abyss of Dungeons already diverges from its predecessor with a third-person perspective and other tweaks, but no major overhaul is expected.
For Ironmace fans, the rebrand may feel disappointing. However, with the legal issues ongoing, Abyss of Dungeons could complement the main PC release. The game is set for a soft launch on June 11th in Brazil, Thailand, Indonesia, and Mexico.
