Torchlight: Infinite's eagerly awaited Season 8: Sandlord is set to launch on April 17th, promising a transformative experience for fans of the action RPG genre. This season introduces the captivating Cloud Oasis, where players can dive into novel economic gameplay mechanics. Rather than just battling through hordes of enemies, you'll now have the chance to construct and manage your own aerial empire. Trading resources, assigning workers, and optimizing production lines within the Cloud Oasis will be key to establishing your dominance in the skies.
Returning with a fresh twist is Thea, whose new Blasphemer trait exchanges her divine abilities for a potent curse known as Desecration. This curse starts off modestly but escalates significantly, enhancing Erosion damage as her blessing power diminishes. Players can further customize their builds to amplify Desecration into area-of-effect explosions or health-scaling effects, catering to fans of damage-over-time and intricate build synergy.
The endgame content in Torchlight: Infinite has undergone a major overhaul, with Deep Space being completely revamped. Players will encounter five new stages, expansive maps, and more formidable foes. A new Probes system allows you to adjust the level of risk and reward, with each Probe increasing the challenge but also the potential for superior loot, including exclusive Compass chests.
Season 8 also introduces an innovative Blending System for belt crafting, enabling the fusion of Hero Traits, Talent nodes, and unique affixes into one item slot, offering deeper and more customizable build options. Coinciding with the season launch, the Sands of Fortune anniversary event will run from April 17th to May 1st. During this event, players can complete tasks, earn Gold Rush Attempts, and compete for a share of a $250,000 prize pool.
