What is Suikoden I & II HD Remaster?
Originally released in Japan in 1995 and 1998 respectively, *Suikoden* and its sequel have been beloved JRPGs that made their way to Western audiences a year later. The series is renowned for its unique mechanic of recruiting 108 warriors to join your cause, building an army to combat evil forces.
This remaster maintains the charm of the original pixelated graphics, now beautifully enhanced to fill modern widescreen displays. The spell effects have been refined for smoother animations, and character portraits have been redrawn in high definition.
In addition to the graphical upgrades, the remaster introduces several quality-of-life enhancements. Players can now speed up battles or opt for auto-battle mode, enjoy auto-save functionality, and benefit from a conversation log to catch up on missed dialogue. The user interface has also been revamped, simplifying tasks like equipment changes.
