Iconic Bethesda voice actor Wes Johnson, known for his roles in The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, Fallout 3, Starfield, and numerous other titles, was discovered in a dire state last week. Found "barely alive" in his hotel room, his family is now reaching out to fans for support during this challenging time.
According to a report by PC Gamer, Johnson's wife, Kim, along with other family members, has launched a GoFundMe campaign to help cover his medical expenses and support the family while he is unable to work. The fundraising page reveals that Johnson is currently fighting for his life in an intensive care unit.
Johnson had traveled to Atlanta to host a benefit event for the National Alzheimer’s Foundation scheduled for January 22. However, he never made it to the event, prompting his wife to try and reach him. After failed attempts to contact him, hotel security was called to enter his room, where they found him unconscious and in critical condition. Emergency medical technicians struggled to find a pulse, underscoring the severity of his situation.
Beyond his extensive work in video games, primarily with Bethesda titles, Johnson has been the public address announcer for the Washington Capitals for 25 years and has also featured in various film and television roles. His voice acting credits include notable characters such as Ron Hope in Starfield, Prince of Madness Sheogorath and Lucien Lachance in The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion, three Daedric Princes (Boethiah, Malacath, and Molag Bal) in The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind, Fawkes and Mister Burke in Fallout 3, Hermaeus Mora and Emperor Titus Mede II in Skyrim, and Moe Cronin in Fallout 4, among others.
