Hearthstone enthusiasts have a thrilling update on the horizon with the unveiling of the Heroes of StarCraft Mini-Set, set to launch on January 21. This Mini-Set, the largest in Hearthstone's history, boasts an impressive lineup of 49 new cards. Players can dive into a unique blend of class-specific and multi-class StarCraft faction cards, offering a fresh gameplay experience that intertwines Hearthstone with the beloved StarCraft universe.
Introduced during the Warcraft Direct on November 13, 2024, the Heroes of StarCraft Mini-Set enhances The Great Dark Beyond expansion with a crossover that celebrates Blizzard's iconic science fiction RTS franchise. Initially, only basic details were shared, but as we approached the new year, Hearthstone has provided a comprehensive look at this exciting micro-expansion.
The Mini-Set features an expansive card pool, exceeding the typical Mini-Set by 11 cards. Each Hearthstone class is enriched with three new cards, while the StarCraft factions—Zerg, Protoss, and Terran—are represented by five cards each, tailored to specific classes. Notably, each faction includes a Legendary card, and the set is rounded off with a neutral Legendary, Grunty. Hearthstone has already teased some of these cards, with more reveals scheduled in the week leading up to the launch.
