Following Godzilla vs. Fantastic Four #1 and Godzilla vs. Hulk #1, this new issue transports readers back to a classic era. The story unfolds after Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars (1984), shortly after Peter Parker's return from Battleworld and his initial struggles with the alien symbiote. This will test Spidey's newfound abilities to their limits as he faces the King of the Monsters.

Joe Kelly (The Amazing Spider-Man relaunch writer) pens the script, with art by Nick Bradshaw (Wolverine and the X-Men), and cover art by Bradshaw, Lee Garbett, and Greg Land.

Kelly stated, "The moment I heard about an '80s-set Godzilla/Spidey crossover, I practically jumped for it! This is a chance to unleash pure mayhem with two iconic characters, capturing the chaotic energy of my Spider-Man collecting days. Nick Bradshaw perfectly captures the absurdity while giving Godzilla and Spidey (in his undeniably awesome black suit) the gravitas they deserve. It's a love letter delivered with a earth-shattering roar!"

This isn't the first superhero vs. Godzilla showdown; DC's Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong (and its sequel) featured the MonsterVerse versions. Marvel's series, however, focuses on the classic Toho Godzilla.

This announcement follows IDW's Godzilla vs. Los Angeles #1, an anthology benefiting wildfire relief.
