April is shaping up to be an exhilarating month for fans of Marvel Contest of Champions, with the introduction of the new champion, Spider-Woman, alongside a diverse range of updates and events. Jessica Drew, known as Spider-Woman, brings a compelling backstory to the game. Born and raised near a uranium mine, Jessica was exposed to its harmful effects at a young age. Her father, a brilliant geneticist, attempted to save her by injecting her with a serum containing spider DNA. After a long recovery, Jessica not only overcame the adverse effects but also gained extraordinary spider powers, eventually becoming Spider-Woman. Players can unlock this new champion starting April 17th.
Before Spider-Woman's arrival, another champion, Lumatrix, will make his debut on April 9th. As one of the most lethal assassins crafted by the Founders, Lumatrix uses his unique light-based abilities to infiltrate and eliminate targets with precision and flair.
What Else Is New?
The narrative in Marvel Contest of Champions continues to evolve with Act 9 Chapter 2, titled "Inquisition." Here, Carina suffers severe injuries after confronting Ouroborus forces, while Doctor Doom forms an alliance with the Fantastic Four to combat the spreading Chronoserpent corruption. A new villain, Lotan, also emerges to challenge the champions.
Starting April 9th and running through May 7th, a new Event Quest called "Spy Games" will kick off. Black Widow delves into the mystery surrounding the Eidols and enlists the help of Spider-Woman to unravel the enigma.
Dark Phoenix returns in the Side Quest with "Dark Bounties," placing bounties on various champions. Players will need to track down these champions to claim their rewards.
The "Incursions: Dark Phoenix Saga Sector" also makes a comeback, offering players the chance to assemble their strongest Saga champions and battle through to earn Dark Plumes, Light Essence, Tier 7 Basic Fragments, and 7-Star Class Signature Stones.
