Torchlight: Infinite's eighth season, dubbed "Sandlord," is now live and is the most expansive season yet. It introduces a wealth of new content that dramatically shifts the gameplay, inviting players to construct a floating empire in the sky.
What’s in Store in Torchlight: Infinite’s Eighth Season Sandlord?
The centerpiece of this season is the Cloud Oasis, a city that you manage. Players will venture into the Netherrealm to gather resources, which can then be transformed into substantial benefits by assigning workers to one of five professions. This mechanic unlocks new trade routes, bonuses, and seasonal rewards, blending the thrill of ARPG combat with strategic simulation.
The character Thea undergoes a transformation from a divine channeler to the Blasphemer, adopting a darker persona. She now inflicts desecration rather than blessings, applying Erosion Damage that intensifies over time.
The Deep Space region has also been revamped, featuring five new stages teeming with monsters and survival challenges. Additionally, a new item called Probes has been introduced. Similar to Compasses, Probes occupy their own slot and simultaneously boost rewards and increase difficulty.
New Stages Are Here
The endgame experience is enhanced with new Legendary Stages that, although rare, are worth seeking out due to their unique loot setups, which can alter your gameplay strategy. Some zones, like the Abyssal Vault, deviate from the norm by containing no enemies, only Mystery Chests ready for you to unlock.
On the other hand, the Sea of Rites presents a swarm of goblins. These creatures don't attack, but eliminating them could lead to the summoning of a secret boss. The Supreme Showdown introduces the Golden Gaze mechanic, allowing both you and the bosses to use it. A well-timed hit can transform enemies directly into treasure.
