Call of Duty: Warzone Glitch Allows Players to Equip Old Camos on Black Ops 6 Weapons

by Christian Feb 26,2025

A newly discovered glitch in Call of Duty: Warzone allows players to use Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) weapon camos on Black Ops 6 (BO6) weapons. This workaround, detailed by BSPGamin on Twitter and highlighted by Dexerto, is a temporary solution to a common player frustration. Many players find it illogical that hard-earned MW3 camos are unusable on the meta BO6 weapons prevalent in Warzone.

This exploit requires a friend's assistance and involves specific steps within a private Warzone match. First, a player equips a BO6 weapon in their first loadout slot and joins a friend's lobby. Then, they equip an MW3 weapon, spam the camo selection button, while their friend switches the match to private. The friend then leaves, the player continues spamming the camo selection, and the friend rejoins a private match. If successful, the MW3 camo will be applied to the BO6 weapon.

It's crucial to understand this is an unofficial method and is subject to removal in future updates by developers Treyarch Studios and Raven Software. While the glitch offers a temporary fix, players who prefer to use BO6 camos should note that Treyarch is actively developing an in-game challenge tracking feature for BO6, similar to the system in MW3, which will be added in a future update. This update addresses player feedback and aims to improve the camo unlocking experience.
