The Last Knight is an engaging side quest in the Rinascita region of Wuthering Waves, offering a refreshing break from the main storyline and larger exploration quests. It provides a glimpse into life beyond Ragunna City and comes with a host of rewarding loot for players.
Compared to more complex quests like Where Wind Returns To Celestial Realms in WuWa, The Last Knight is relatively straightforward and less time-consuming. Here's a comprehensive guide to help you navigate through this quest.
Starting The Last Knight Quest
To initiate The Last Knight quest, you must first complete Chapter 2 in its entirety, including the quest "What Yesterday Wept, Today Doth Sing." We recommend completing the main questline before exploring Rinascita, as many side quests, including this one, are unlocked only after finishing Chapter 2 Act 3.
Once you've completed the required quests, make your way to Egla Town in Whisperwind Haven. Look for Cosimo, who should be standing in front of the first house near the main road exiting the town. He'll be marked with a blue quest marker on your map, making him easy to spot.
The Night Reveries
The Night Reveries are a tribute to a legendary knight who defeated a giant in Whisperwind Haven. As part of this quest, you'll need to participate in the performance by taking down the Mad Knight, among other tasks.
The Mad Knight only emerges at night, so advance time to between 18:00 and 06:00 the following day. Head to the central pool in town to confront this foe. While not particularly formidable, use your strongest attacks to defeat the Mad Knight swiftly.
The Last Knight: Mimic Chests
After defeating the Mad Knight, proceed to the tallest tower in town and follow the quest marker to find Carlow, who will be unconscious next to a large, purple flower. Interact with the flower to be transported to another instance where you must identify the mimic chest among others.
The first three supply chests are safe to open. In the next set, only one chest is real—the second one in the middle-left position. Opening it will reward you with Astrites and other valuable items, but be prepared for an ambush by the mimics afterward. Defeat them to continue the quest.
The Knight's Trail and The Strange Scent
Once you're back from the purple flower's realm, you'll need to visit the second and third locations associated with the legendary Mad Knight. This part of the quest involves following quest markers and engaging in conversations with NPCs.
After speaking with Mr. Millkeeper, Abby will alert you to a strange scent. Follow the quest marker uphill to confront a unique Chop Chop accompanied by an invulnerable Leftless and Rightless. Equip a Questless Knight Echo in your main Echo slot to effectively parry and stun the Chop Chop.
Upon defeating the Chop Chop, Mr. Millkeeper reveals that the legendary knight was a myth created by him and other Windmill Keepers to protect the town. This revelation causes Carlow to flee in disbelief.
Find Carlow
Return to Egla Town during the day and locate Carlow in one of the town's plazas. You'll find him facing off against two knights who mock him. Instead of backing down, Carlow vows to protect his community and challenges one of the knights to a duel, shedding his romanticized view of the Mad Knight and embracing his role as a true guardian.
The quest concludes with Carlow's challenge, and you'll be rewarded with Union XP, Astrites, and other resources. Completing The Last Knight will mark it off your list for the Tales of the Isles event.
