Amazon Prime Video has set a December 2025 premiere for Fallout Season 2, with the series also greenlit for a third season.
During its annual upfront event in New York City on Monday, the streaming service shared updates on its post-apocalyptic adaptation of Bethesda’s iconic games, confirming a third season renewal following the upcoming episodes this winter. This move underscores strong confidence in Season 2, which wrapped filming last week.

“We’re ecstatic to dive back into the wasteland for a third season of Fallout,” said Executive Producers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy in a joint statement. “Together with our talented cast, crew, showrunners [Geneva Robertson-Dworet] and [Graham Wagner], and our partners at Bethesda, we thank Amazon MGM Studios and our dedicated fans for joining us on this wild journey.”
The announcement that Fallout Season 2 is on track for a 2025 release is unexpected, given that filming only recently concluded and production faced delays due to LA wildfires earlier this year. Many anticipated new episodes no earlier than 2026.
While Amazon has yet to lock in an exact release date, the confirmation of a December 2025 drop signals that the Prime Video series is charging forward at full speed.
