Stellar Blade's Patch 1.009: New Content and Unexpected Bugs
The highly anticipated Photo Mode and NieR: Automata DLC have arrived in Stellar Blade's Patch 1.009, but unfortunately, some game-breaking bugs have also emerged.
Game-Breaking Bugs and Hotfix
Players have reported being softlocked during a main quest in an earlier dungeon and experiencing crashes when using Photo Mode's selfie camera. Additionally, some new cosmetic items aren't rendering correctly. Developer Shift Up is actively working on a hotfix to address these issues and advises players to avoid forcing quest progression until the patch is released to prevent permanent softlocks.
NieR: Automata Collaboration and Photo Mode Enhancements
The NieR: Automata collaboration is a significant addition, offering 11 exclusive items. Players can find Emil, the NieR character, within Stellar Blade's world to acquire these rewards. The collaboration reflects the mutual inspiration between directors Kim Hyung Tae and Yoko Taro.
The long-requested Photo Mode is finally here, allowing players to capture stunning images of Eve and her companions. New photo challenges have also been added to encourage its use. Four new outfits for Eve and a new accessory (unlocked after a specific ending) that alters Tachy Mode's appearance are included. Further customization options include a "No Ponytail" setting. The update also boasts improved lip-sync for six languages, enhanced auto-aim and bullet magnet functions, and several minor bug fixes for improved gameplay.
