Niantic is launching a special end-of-year Catch-a-thon event in Pokémon Go, giving players another chance to catch previously Community Day-exclusive Pokémon and earn exclusive rewards, including shiny versions of featured Pokémon.
This event will run on December 21st and 22nd, from 2 pm to 5 pm local time. The featured Pokémon lineup is:
- December 21st: Bellsprout, Chansey, Goomy, Rowlet, Litten, and Bounsweet.
- December 22nd: Mankey, Ponyta, Galarian Ponyta, Sewaddle, Tynamo, and Popplio.
During the final ten minutes of each hour, players can encounter Porygon, Cyndaquil, Bagon, and Beldum. The event also includes 2x XP for catching Pokémon and 2x Stardust, along with other rewards.
Following a year of major updates, including the introduction of Gigantamax Pokémon, Niantic is ending the year with one last major community event. This Catch-a-thon provides a perfect opportunity for dedicated players to enjoy some final Pokémon Go action before the holidays.
