Kingdom Come Deliverance 2: A Closer Look at Village Life and Recent Controversy
Warhorse Studios continues to unveil new facets of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, focusing this time on the immersive village activities available to players. Protagonist Henry will engage in a variety of activities, including drinking, shepherding, archery (both crossbow and bow), prayer, hunting, and assisting villagers with their problems – such as procuring antidotes for the injured.
The game's release is slated for February 4, 2025.
However, the game has recently faced a wave of controversy. Following the discovery of certain in-game documents, activists launched a campaign to cancel the game. Figures like Grummz, described as "agenda-driven" campaigners, have amplified these efforts.
Speculation surrounding the inclusion of "progressive" elements and specific content intensified after news of the game's ban in Saudi Arabia circulated online. This led to online attacks against the developers and calls to boycott the game and withhold funding.
In response to these accusations, Warhorse Studios' PR manager, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, urged the public to trust the developers and to critically evaluate online information.
