The Eldgear Narrative:
Argenia is transitioning from a medieval past into a magically-infused future. Hundreds of nations, packed into largely unexplored territories, are locked in a tense power struggle fueled by the discovery of potent ancient machines. Eldia, a global task force, plays a central role, striving to prevent these powerful artifacts from reigniting widespread war. Their mission involves research, monitoring, and controlled access to the dangerous ruins.
Strategic Turn-Based Combat:
Eldgear's combat system, while strategically deep, boasts a relatively user-friendly turn-based structure. However, the mechanics add layers of complexity. The EMA (Embedding Abilities) system allows equipping three abilities per unit, offering tactical flexibility through stat boosts, stealth capabilities, or protective maneuvers. EXA (Expanding Abilities), activated by maximizing Tension during battles, unleashes devastating special attacks.
The enigmatic GEAR machines, sources of both immense power and potential danger, add another dimension to gameplay, some acting as guardians, others as formidable foes.
