Goat Simulator Series Is Getting a Card Game, Coming Later This Year

Unexpected news for Goat Simulator fans: a card game adaptation is on the horizon! Prepare for chaotic, goat-filled fun in a completely new format. The game is slated for release later this year.

Coffee Stain North, the creators of Goat Simulator, have joined forces with MOOD Publishing, known for titles like Deep Rock Galactic: The Board Game and Valheim: The Board Game, to bring this card game to life.

What We Know About Goat Simulator: The Card Game

Details are scarce, but we know it's a physical card game supporting 2-6 players, promising the same brand of absurd gameplay that defined the original series. Expect plenty of goat-related mayhem!

Launching on Kickstarter later this year, the game aims to translate the digital goat-flinging antics into a tabletop experience. As Creative Director Santiago Ferrero humorously put it, "Chaotic animal-based video games are so last year. That’s why we’ve partnered with MOOD Publishing to release a chaotic animal-based card game instead!"

From April Fool's Joke to a Full-Fledged Franchise

What began as an April Fool's Day prank in 2014 has blossomed into a multi-platform phenomenon. Goat Simulator has graced PCs, consoles, and mobile devices, defying expectations and maintaining its quirky appeal.

With Goat Simulator 3 continuing the series' legacy of absurdity, the addition of a card game is a surprising but welcome expansion. In the meantime, you can experience the original Goat Simulator games on the Google Play Store.
