by Samuel Feb 23,2025

Konami and FIFA's collaboration culminates in the FIFAe World Cup 2024, a thrilling esports tournament held in Saudi Arabia. The competition, spanning both console and mobile platforms, begins December 9th and will be livestreamed globally with a live audience.

The tournament features a fierce battle of skill: over 54 players from 22 countries in the console division will compete in intense 2v2 matches, while 16 mobile players from 16 countries will face off in 1v1 showdowns. These players emerged victorious from qualifiers that started in October.

A substantial prize pool of $100,000 is up for grabs, with the top prize being a $20,000 share. Even viewers can participate in the excitement; daily bonuses of up to 4,000 eFootball points and 400,000GP are available to those tuning in from December 9th to 12th.

This collaboration marks a significant achievement for Konami, adding to their impressive roster of partnerships, including high-profile collaborations with football stars like Messi and pop culture icons such as Captain Tsubasa. However, the impact on the average gamer remains to be seen.
