This highly anticipated animated series, spearheaded by Castlevania's Adi Shankar and animated by Studio Mir (renowned for The Legend of Korra and X-Men '97), was first announced in 2018. The first season will consist of eight episodes.
Plot details remain shrouded in mystery, but the protagonist appears to be Dante, seemingly based on his portrayal in the first three Devil May Cry games rather than Devil May Cry 5. Interestingly, Dante will be voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch, who voices Nero in the video game franchise.
The latest installment in the Devil May Cry video game series, Devil May Cry 5, launched in 2019, marking a triumphant return after a period of relative inactivity following the 2013 release of DmC: Devil May Cry. A critically acclaimed action title, Devil May Cry 5 is highly recommended, especially for fans of games like Ninja Gaiden Black 2. Read our comprehensive Devil May Cry 5 review for a deeper dive.
