EA Unveils Battlefield Labs: Your Chance to Shape the Future of Battlefield

EA has launched Battlefield Labs, offering players a unique opportunity to influence the development of the next Battlefield game. This isn't your typical beta; it's an exclusive program granting select fans early access and a voice in shaping the game's direction.

Battlefield Labs Program

What is Battlefield Labs?

Battlefield Labs provides a select group of players with early access to work-in-progress game content. Participants will engage in remote playtests and provide direct feedback to the developers at EA's Battlefield Studios. This feedback will be crucial in refining combat mechanics, map design, balance, and more.

The program will initially include a few thousand players in Europe and North America, with plans to expand globally. Battlefield Labs will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Battlefield Labs vs. Beta Testing:

Unlike traditional betas, Battlefield Labs provides access to unfinished game builds. Expect more bugs, rough edges, and technical issues than a typical beta. The goal is to gather feedback on core gameplay elements, not to test polished features. Participation requires signing a non-disclosure agreement (NDA).

How to Sign Up:

  1. Visit the official Battlefield Labs webpage.
  2. Log in or create an EA account and link it to your preferred gaming platform. Be aware of potential queues and the 15-minute time limit to access the website once your turn arrives.
  3. Complete the registration form and provide your email address.
  4. Regularly check your email for updates and playtest invitations from the Battlefield Labs newsletter.

The next Battlefield game is slated for release in EA's fiscal year 2026 (before April 1, 2026). Battlefield Labs offers a chance to be part of its creation.
