The popular RPG management game, The Tale of Food, featuring anthropomorphic food characters, is closing its doors. Initially launched in China for closed beta in September 2019 and later distributed by Tencent Games, the game's servers will officially shut down on March 20th, 2025, at 10:00 AM (UTC+8).
The Tale of Food Shutdown Date:
In-game purchases have been disabled as of February 18th, 2025, and new player registrations are no longer possible. The game has also been removed from the Google Play Store. Existing players can continue to enjoy the game until the servers close on March 20th.
Refunds for In-Game Purchases:
Players who made in-game purchases between January 9th and February 18th, 2025, are eligible for a refund. Contact in-game support or email the developers before March 20th to initiate the refund process. Further details on the shutdown terms and conditions are available on the official The Tale of Food X account.
Server Closures:
It's worth noting that the Japan server closed in April 2023, followed by the China server in June 2024. This global server closure marks the final chapter for The Tale of Food.
Community Remains:
While the game itself is ending, the official X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, and Discord communities will remain active, providing a space for players to share memories and connect with fellow food enthusiasts.
