WoW Housing: new details shared by Blizzard

World of Warcraft's highly anticipated housing system is slated for a 2025 release, with Blizzard unveiling initial details. The developers assure players that homes will be accessible to everyone, regardless of subscription status, and won't involve complicated acquisition processes like high costs or lotteries. This feature is set to debut with the Midnight expansion.

Initially, players can select a plot in one of two zones: Alliance players in a region blending Elwynn Forest with elements of Westfall and Duskwood; Horde players in a zone combining Durotar with aspects of Azshara and the Durotar coastline.

Each zone will feature districts, each accommodating roughly 50 homes. Players can choose between open areas or establish private communities with friends and guild members. Extensive customization options are promised, with most items obtainable in-game, and some available through the shop.

Blizzard highlights three core principles guiding the housing system: extensive personalization, social interaction, and enduring appeal. Further details are promised in the future, and player feedback is currently welcomed.
