Word Wizards Unite: Letterlike Combines Balatro with Scrabble

Wordsmiths, get ready for a new word game challenge! Letterlike, a roguelike word game, blends the best of Balatro and Scrabble. Prepare for a unique mix of vocabulary and roguelike unpredictability – a truly novel combination!

Crafting Words in Letterlike

As a roguelike, Letterlike offers a fresh set of letter combinations and challenges with each playthrough, all procedurally generated. The possibilities are endless, leading to endless victories (or hilarious defeats!).

Each game begins with a letter set. Your mission: create words, score points, and conquer levels. Each level consists of three rounds.

To progress, you must accumulate enough points by forming high-scoring words, similar to Scrabble. However, you only have five attempts (lives) per round – use them strategically!

Facing a less-than-ideal letter selection? Don't worry, you can discard some letters, but discards are limited, so choose wisely.

A handy rearrange mode lets you drag, drop, and shuffle letters to maximize your word-building potential.

The final round of each level introduces a twist: a special ability renders some letters worthless, awarding zero points.

Earned points and rewards can be spent on power-ups to enhance your gameplay. Some buffs are automatic, while others unlock at specific levels. Collected gems unlock powerful upgrades, easing future runs.

Ready to Give it a Try?

Letterlike is simple, minimalist, and incredibly fun. Share specific game runs with friends using shared seeds – perfect for sharing those frustrating (or triumphant) letter combinations!

The game is ad-free with a one-time purchase and offers offline play. A free demo version is available, allowing you to test the waters before committing. Find Letterlike on the Google Play Store and give the demo a shot!
