Wild Rift Patch 6.1 Goes Cosmic in Mid-April

by Emily Apr 15,2025

LoL: Wild Rift Patch 6.1: Ascending Stars is poised to elevate your gaming experience with its launch later this month. Get ready for a cosmic transformation that touches every aspect of the game, from menus to the battlefield. You'll be exploring the Dual Nova galaxy, navigating through the Challenger's Star and Adventure's Star, where new adventures and challenges await.

Three new champions are set to join the battle, each bringing unique game-changing abilities to Wild Rift. Ryze, the Rune Mage, will unleash immense area-of-effect damage and use Realm Warp to teleport teammates across the map. Nocturne, the Eternal Nightmare, will thrive on chaos, employing Paranoia to plunge enemies into darkness. Zilean, the Chronokeeper, will manipulate time, slowing foes and even reviving allies with Chronoshift.

Several champions are also receiving significant reworks. Garen's Courage will now scale over time, enhancing his tankiness, while his Judgment ability will shred enemy armor. Ambessa transitions from the jungle to the Baron lane, with adjustments to her damage and life steal. Minor tweaks are also planned for Diana, Fiora, Jax, Sona, and Kalista.

Beyond champion updates, a new Bandle-inspired Rift is set to invigorate non-Ranked modes, featuring Enchanted Gifts that appear through portals during the laning phase. Mages will benefit from long-awaited item updates. The new Bandle Fantasy item will boost burst damage, Hextech GLP800 will slow enemies with frost bombs, and Malignance will enhance ultimate abilities, making spellcasters even more formidable.

Ranked mode is also evolving with the new season, which launches alongside the Challenger's Star. Expect updates to the Ranked store and an easier way to earn seasonal rewards. Midway through the patch, the Adventure's Star will unlock, introducing AAAARAM—a fresh twist on ARAM with new augments and galactic visuals. The Wild Pass will feature two stunning skins: Wondertown Twisted Fate and Battlecast Nasus, with Twisted Fate's look introducing an entirely new skinline.

LoL: Wild Rift’s version 6.1 patch is scheduled for release on April 16th. For more details, be sure to visit the official website.
