Uno! Mobile and other titles receive Beyond Color update

by Anthony Mar 15,2025

Mattel163, the mobile game developer, has launched a significant accessibility update, "Beyond Colors," enhancing three popular card games: Phase 10: World Tour, UNO! Mobile, and Skip-Bo Mobile. This update introduces colorblind-friendly decks, replacing traditional colors with easily distinguishable shapes—squares, triangles, circles, and stars—to represent red, blue, green, and yellow respectively.

This inclusive feature allows players with colorblindness to fully enjoy these classic card games. Enabling the Beyond Colors deck is simple: tap your in-game avatar, navigate to account settings, and select the Beyond Colors deck under card theme options.

The development of these inclusive decks involved collaboration with colorblind gamers, ensuring optimal usability and consistency across all three titles. Mattel163 aims to make 80% of its game portfolio colorblind accessible by 2025, reflecting a commitment to broader inclusivity. This initiative directly benefits the estimated 300 million people worldwide affected by colorblindness, according to the Cleveland Clinic.

UNO! Mobile brings the beloved card-matching game to mobile; Phase 10: World Tour challenges players to complete phases quickly; and Skip-Bo offers a unique solitaire-style experience. All three games are available on the App Store and Google Play.
