During my visit to Gamescom Latam in Brazil, I stumbled upon a fascinating mobile game developed locally, showcased in a vibrant yellow booth. The game, UniqKiller, marks the debut of Sao Paulo-based studio HypeJoe Games. Officially unveiled at the event, UniqKiller attracted significant attention, with a constant stream of visitors engaging with the demo and sporting the yellow HypeJoe tote bags around the expo.
UniqKiller aims to carve a niche in the crowded shooter genre with its unique top-down, isometric camera angle. However, the true draw of the game lies in its extensive customization options. HypeJoe Games understands that in 2024, players crave individuality, and thus, they offer players the ability to craft their unique character, or "Uniq." Customization extends beyond aesthetics; as players engage in more matches, they unlock further options to tweak their Uniq's skills and combat styles, allowing for personalized gameplay experiences.
As a multiplayer game, UniqKiller includes standard features such as Clan formation, where players can team up for Clan Wars, special events, and various missions. For those less skilled at shooters, HypeJoe promises fair matchmaking to ensure players are pitted against others of similar skill levels.
