Getting Started as an Archer in Rune Slayer

If you're a veteran archer, you might want to skip this section, but if you're new to the class, read on. As an Archer, your most effective strategy is to maintain a safe distance from your enemies and let your arrows do the talking. While Archers can deal significant damage, they are not built to withstand it.

Archers wear Medium armor, which strikes a balance between the protection offered by Light and Heavy armor. Unlike Light armor-wearing Magicians or Priests, Archers lack protective spells or heavy armor. Instead, Archers depend on their allies and Pets to absorb damage.

Tamed Pets are essential for Archers. Initially, your pet options may be limited, but as an Archer, you'll eventually gain access to unique pets unavailable to other classes, enhancing your overall power and versatility.

How to Get Beast Tamer in Rune Slayer

At Level 30, Archers, like all other classes in Rune Slayer, must choose a subclass. For Archers, the options are to specialize as a Sharpshooter or a Beast Tamer. Choose Beast Tamer as soon as you reach level 30.

Currently, there's no compelling reason to specialize as a Sharpshooter. While firing multiple arrows sounds appealing, you'd miss out on the Beast Tamer's key advantage: the Alpha Predator passive ability. This ability lets you tame beasts that no other class can, including Bears, Adult Spiders, Crocodiles, and notably, Mud Crabs. Thanks to their robust pets, Beast Tamers are resilient enough to tackle many group activities solo.

Start by defeating players from the opposing faction to increase your standing with your demon overlords, which will allow you to acquire the Stalker armor set.
