With care, the Ghastling can evolve into the Happy Ghast, a new mob variant that players can harness and ride, accommodating up to four players for a unique flying experience.
A significant visual upgrade, dubbed 'Vibrant Visuals,' was also unveiled, marking the first step in Mojang's vision to transform the way players experience Minecraft. Mojang also shared an exclusive clip for the upcoming "A Minecraft Movie" and announced a movie-themed in-game live event, set to begin on March 25. This event will take place in Midport Village, where players can join Steve and his movie companions to defend the village from a piglin attack through three engaging mini-games. The event runs until April 7, and participants who complete all challenges will be rewarded with the exclusive Yearn cape.
During our visit to Mojang's offices in Sweden, we learned about their stance on future developments: they have no plans for a Minecraft 2, nor will they transition the game to a free-to-play model or use generative AI in its development.
