Marvel Rivals Season 1 Mid-Season Update: No Rank Reset!
A recent announcement from NetEase Games has clarified the much-debated rank reset for Marvel Rivals' Season 1. Initially planned for the mid-season update on February 21, 2025, the rank reset has been officially cancelled following significant player feedback.

The developers acknowledged the negative response to the proposed reset, citing concerns about the added pressure of frequent rank adjustments impacting the enjoyment of competitive play. As a result, players will retain their current ranks and scores when the second half of Season 1 begins.
To earn new rewards, players simply need to complete 10 competitive matches and meet specific conditions by the season's end. These rewards include a new Gold rank costume and various Crests of Honor with unique designs for Grandmaster, Celestial, Eternity, and One Above All ranks.
This decision showcases NetEase's responsiveness to player concerns and demonstrates a commitment to improving the game's competitive experience. It provides higher-ranked players with an extended period to compete at the top level.
