Marvel Rivals to Add 2 Heroes Every 3 Months

NetEase Games is committed to keeping Marvel Rivals fresh and engaging for its players through regular updates. The developers plan to roll out a new update approximately every month and a half, introducing two new heroes each quarter. This strategy ensures that there's always something new for players to explore when they return to the game.

In an insightful interview, game director Guangyun Chen explained that each seasonal update is divided into two parts: the first half of the season introduces one new hero, while the second half brings in another. This approach keeps both the audience and the players engaged throughout the season.

In addition to new heroes, Marvel Rivals will enhance its offerings with updates featuring new maps, stories, and objectives. Characters such as Blade, who is not yet playable, and Altron, known from leaks, have been teased previously. The recent announcement of the entire Fantastic Four team joining the roster has also generated significant excitement among fans.

According to the Chinese publication GameLook, Marvel Rivals has generated around $100 million worldwide, with a substantial portion of the earnings coming from the Chinese market. Marvel, a powerhouse in the film industry, has successfully ventured into gaming, filling a notable gap in the game-service genre that was left wanting after Square Enix's Avengers.

NetEase's studio has masterfully crafted a high-quality heroic shooter that boasts a roster of captivating characters. The game received positive reviews at its launch, solidifying its position as a must-play title in the gaming community.
