Lunacy is the premium currency in Limbus Company, essential for unlocking new Identities and EGOs. As the game's main gacha currency, accumulating Lunacy is crucial for acquiring new character variants.
In Limbus Company, the initial stages of the game shower you with Lunacy, but as you progress, the rate at which you acquire it drops significantly.
How to Get Lunacy in Limbus Company
For newcomers, the most effective way to earn Lunacy is by progressing through the main story. Each chapter completion grants approximately 390 Lunacy, with an additional 260 Lunacy for achieving an EX rating on enough missions. To achieve an EX clear, you must meet all the EX objectives specific to each mission. The first time you EX clear a mission, you'll earn an extra 40 Lunacy, so strive to fulfill those objectives.
First-time completions of Luxcavation stages also reward Lunacy, but remember, these are one-time rewards.
Once you've exhausted all available story quests, your Lunacy gains will start to decrease. At this point, your best avenues for obtaining Lunacy include:
- Completing or EX clearing event stages.
- Participating in Boosted Mirror Dungeons.
- Uptying Identities.
- Earning battle pass rewards.
- Making direct purchases.
Boosted Mirror Dungeons are likely to be your most reliable source of Lunacy. You can tackle up to three of these dungeons weekly, earning 750 Lunacy in total. Weekly resets happen every Wednesday, and these dungeons can be challenging, so bring your strongest Identities.
Events are another excellent opportunity to gather Lunacy, though they are time-limited. Make the most of these events whenever they're available, and don't forget to check all event rewards to ensure you don't miss out on any bonuses.
Uptying involves upgrading your Sinners' Identities and EGOs. Reaching higher Uptie tiers strengthens your characters, and upon reaching Uptie Tier 3, you receive 40 Lunacy. While this method has a finite yield compared to Mirror Dungeons, it serves as a long-term strategy for Lunacy accumulation. Continue leveling up your characters and collecting Threads to eventually Uptie your entire roster.
Lastly, the game's battle passes offer substantial resources for enhancing your Sinners, including Lunacy. While the free tracks provide some rewards, to access all the benefits, you'll need to invest real money.
