Lego has unveiled a new line of sets tied to the upcoming live-action film, *A Minecraft Movie*, starring Jack Black as Steve. These sets offer a glimpse into the mobs and scenes fans can anticipate in the movie. As reported by Games Radar, two sets have been announced: the Woodland Mansion Fighting Ring and The Ghast Balloon Village Attack, which will complement the existing range of regular Minecraft Lego sets.
The Woodland Mansion Fighting Ring set, priced at $49.99 and containing 491 pieces, hints at a gladiatorial battle scene in the film. It features Jason Momoa's character, The Garbage Man, battling a zombie riding a giant chicken. While it's unclear whether the chicken is to scale or represents a baby zombie on a regular-sized chicken, the figure stands about twice as tall as The Garbage Man. This set also includes figures of Steve, his friend Henry, and a giant zombie pigman, along with a fighting ring, a chest filled with gold, and a small viewing stand equipped with weapons.
The Ghast Balloon Village Attack set, retailing at $69.99 and comprising 555 pieces, suggests that the Nether's iconic Ghast will also feature in the film. The set depicts a significant battle scene in an overworld village, with included minifigures of a villager, two piglin, Steve, Natalie, Dawn, and an iron golem.
Both sets will be available starting March 1, a month before *A Minecraft Movie* premieres in theaters on April 4. When the film was revealed in September, it faced immediate backlash from fans concerned about the contrast between the live-action characters and the CGI-generated Minecraft world. In response to this criticism, the director and producer told IGN in November that they were prepared for all reactions and ready to meet expectations.
